Description:
This typewriter was originally picked up in an estate sale in Pasadena, CA about 10 years ago. Acquired along with its original case that's made of wood, covered in some sort of black, vinyl like material. The handle of the square case is made of a solid black plastic secured onto the case with chrome parts.
Accompanying documents include an advertisement for the Royal De Luxe from Life magazine in 1960. Details of the ad notes the use of Lucite for the keys as a selling feature. Also included is a design patent for Royal key caps.
